FLEECE INFO: From white Romney ewe, 2 years old at shearing. Staple length: 5.5-6in. Weight: 6lb still available (partial fleece). The staple length is incredible and despite some dirty tips, it is in good condition and cleans up nicely. This fleece is a little on the greasy side and you can see from the photos that there is some yellow color on many locks. This is grease and will scour out fine. I have included an example pre and post wash photo of a lock that was soaked for just 15 minutes and it is completely white. This fleece would be a dream to hand process. Soft for a Romney, but still has the usual long wool characteristics so should probably be blended with some softer fibers if used for next-to-skin wear. Not coated, low VM. Shearing date: Dec 2023. Listed price is for all 6lb (partial fleece), or will split the fleece for $16/pound (2lb minimum). 
 
ABOUT THIS SHEEP: Booty was a young Romney ewe. Booty was my heart sheep and I lost her last winter. She was so sweet and too young to leave me. I couldn't face selling her fleece at first, but I want it to be put to good use so I am putting it up for sale now. My goodness Booty grew huge volumes of wool! She got her name because her Booty was so big and fluffy with gorgeous long wool. Her full name is Boudica after the ancient queen, because she carried herself like royalty. We called her Booty though, because her backside has the biggest and fluffiest fleece you've ever seen!
